Mark and Jim Gilkey formed JMG Glass in February 2001. Mark and Jim had both worked in the glass industry for many years. Mark started as an apprentice glazier in June 1968. Mark has worked in many capacities in the glass business – from glazier foreman to project manager, to estimator, and finally as a Vice President in charge of the Eastern NY State territory. Jim graduated from college with a degree in Architectural Engineering technology.  Jim also worked as an apprentice glazier starting in June 1988. Jim quickly progressed into a Foreman, and then a Superintendent.

The Gilkey family has been in the professional glass business throughout the Syracuse, NY area since 1921 and has completed many high profile projects in Eastern New York State.

JMG Glass and Glazing have successfully finished major projects since 2001 including SUNY Albany Health Science, Nate Perry School, Weiscotten Hall SUNY Syracuse, Hinds Hall Syracuse University, North Syracuse School System, ESM High School, ESM Woodland Elementary School, Interior Newhouse 3 Syracuse University, Link Hall Syracuse University, King and King Architects.
